Mrs. Rachael Alamu, the school principal who was abducted alongside teachers and pupils in Oyo State, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and security agencies following their rescue after 51 days in captivity.
The rescue sparked celebrations across Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, where residents cheered as military personnel arrived in a convoy with the rescued victims.
The victims, comprising 39 pupils and seven teachers, including the principal, were rescued on Thursday, July 10, ending a 51-day ordeal in the kidnappers' den.
The successful operation has been widely welcomed by residents, who celebrated the safe return of the schoolchildren and their teachers while commending the efforts of the military and other security agencies.
